Makeover for India's last real Maharaja

The new Air India logo, sitting 390 metres atop its famous building at Nariman Point, is the tallest logo in Mumbai. Weighing 8.75 metric tons, it is 24 feet tall and 38 feet wide.

The display is made up of neon tubes, and will be visible from as far as the end of Marine Drive and Malabar Hills.

The installation, which was was done by Air India's engineers and experts from IIT-Bombay, took nearly a year and is considered an engineering marvel because of the sheer height of the display and the strong winds at that height.
