Mumbai woos air travellers with transit hotel and more

Mumbai: As international travel becomes stressful with long flights, airports are offering a bouquet of facilities to passengers to relieve the pressures. Mumbai, which had lagged for years on the amenities front, now offers a clutch of services at its new Terminal 2 (T2).

"An airport that witnesses 36 million-plus passengers per annum, including a significant number of tourists, has to offer world class services to travellers," Rajeev Jain, CEO, Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL), told Khaleej Times here. "GVK MIAL (the private entity that manages the airport) realised that it was becoming even more important for these services to cater to specific needs of the passengers to ensure a richer travel experience."
