Porvorim: The Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mopa International airport will be issued on Friday to four shortlisted companies. These include GVK, GMR, Essel Infra-Mumbai and Voluptas Developers. The latter two companies have tied up with foreign partners—Essel Infra with Zurich Airports and Voluptas Developers with Vinci Airports, Rome.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar declared in Goa Legislative Assembly on Thursday while replying to discussion on motion of thanks on Governor's address. He said the short-listed companies will have to respond within 90, and they have been given time till April 16, 2016.
The government will go for the company that will offer highest share of revenue, and thereafter, concession agreement will be signed, he said.
He also reiterated the government's stated stand that Dabolim airport will continue to operate even after Mopa international airport is commissioned.
