RGIA put on high alert

Hyderabad: In the backdrop of the terror strike on the IAF base at Pathankot in Pun jab, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was put on high alert on Saturday . Shamshabad police said patrolling and vehicle checking was intensified near the airport. "As a general alert was in place, security has been beefed up and it will continue for some more time," deputy commissioner of police (Shamshabad) AR Srinivas told STOI.
According to the police authorities, security was beefed up at the airport and other vital installations. An Octopus unit was on standby .
