Mumbai : While security officials are leaving no stone unturned to ensure security of the city especially for the coming Republic Day, the spotting of six paragliding like objects by a Pawan Hans pilot near Juhu a week ago has raised security concerns in the city.
The incident came to light on the morning of January 13 when a Pawan Hans pilot was heading from ONGC Hellipad near Juhu Airport towards Bombay High at nearly 9:00 am. The pilot reportedly spotted around six paragli-ding like objects which were about 1,000 to 1,500 feet above the sea level. In his statement, the pilot further informed that the parachutes of these paragl-iders were semi – circular in shape and were of blue and white colour. These objects were said to be heading towards South – East from North – West direction. These supposed to be para gliders were seen hovering in sky near the Juhu based JW Marriot hotel.
The information of the incident was reported in Santacruz Police station. Also the senior officers fr-om Santacruz Police stati-on have confirmed about the incident being reported.
