Mumbai: Actor Vir Das was involved in a heated social media, as well as face to face battle with domestic airline Jet Airways for allegedly adopting a negligent attitude which caused the young actor to miss his flight to Mumbai. The incident occurred at Ahmedabad airport. Subsequently, Das approached the authorities who did not pay heed to his grievance and instead blamed him of not being alert.
According to the version narrated by the Bollywood star, he was waiting in the lounge room in anticipation of announcement of his flight to Ahmedabad. But there was no announcement which caused the actor to miss his flight. However, the airline contradicted his claims, saying that the alert has been issued throughout the airport of the flight departure timings.
Das claimed on Twitter, that the Jet Airways staff ridiculed his complaint and began shouting and yelling at him instead. The Mastizaade star also shot videos of the incident and uploaded them on Twitter, but deleted them later.
The matter was quickly resolved as senior personnel of Jet Airways approached Vir Das as he was about to leave the Mumbai airport. They apologized to him for the uncharacteristic response shown by some of their staff.
