Looking at expanding operations to Hong Kong: Jet Airways

New Delhi: Jet Airways is looking at expanding operations to Hong Kong and the move will help boost business and tourism in both the countries, the airline said on Thursday.
"Jet Airways commenced services to Hong Kong in 2009...and we are looking at other places from India to connect Hong Kong," Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal said at a CII event.
The airline will explore every opportunity to increase connectivity with Hong Kong, he said.
"We at Jet Airways are absolutely committed to whatever it takes to realise the traffic and freight between India and Hong Kong to provide air connectivity to the people of our region," he added.
Goyal said the airline last year "welcomed about 3,30,000 guests on our flights between India and Hong Kong".
He said that huge opportunities exists in both the countries to enhance cooperation in tourism sector.
"Tourism in India has significant potential considering the rich cultural and historical heritage and places of natural beauty spread across the country," he said, adding that India is an important market for Hong Kong with the rapidly growing outbound tourism.
