Curtain falls on this year's aerial spectacle

Hyderabad: The fifth edition of India Aviation 2016 concluded on Sunday with a splendid aerial feast for the teeming crowd that thronged the Begumpet Airport. The next aviation show will be held from March 14 to 18, 2018.
By the time Day 4 of the event drew to a close, nearly 10,000 visitors had made their way to the airport to catch a glimpse of the fleet of aeroplanes and helicopters on display. What stole the limelight was the magnificent B-777 aircraft put up on display by Air India.
"My son wanted to visit the air show to have a look at all the aeroplanes from close proximity. It is not always that you get to see so many planes on display at one place," said Sanjeevi Goud, an entrepreneur. In fact, several children were seen braving the soaring temperature to make use of the opportunity to see the winged beasts up close.
The public was also in for a surprise when the Pawan Hans, the national helicopter transport carrier of the Government of India, started its engine. As its blades started churning, a thunderous sound reverberated through the airport, leaving thousands of visitors in awe.
"I was heading towards the exit when I heard the sound. I couldn't help but run towards the barricades to see which aeroplane had made that sound. It was indeed an experience of a lifetime," said Kavya Rao, a first-time visitor to the air show.
