Mumbai: To generate interest towards aviation among students from the Mumbai University, the Bombay Flying Club (BFC) organized an aviation projects' exhibition at university's Garware Institute of Career Education and Development last week. The exhibition was inaugurated by university's vice-chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh. Garware Institute will be offering a course in B Sc (Aviation) and commercial pilot in collaboration with the BFC.
While addressing the gathering, Deshmukh said, "With the boom in the aviation sector and a huge demand for manpower, MU will be starting these courses soon. Students should also utilise the facilities which university will provide as it will be benefiting the society."
As it is an attractive career option, and manpower is needed in abundance in the aviation industry, BFC partnered with the university to offer skill-oriented courses in aviation to open employment avenues for students.
