Varanasi: Owing to some technical snag passengers of a Delhi bound Spice Jet flight from Varanasi on Friday took more than three hours to reach their destination after boarding the flight.
The passengers spent more time on ground than in the air as their aircraft reportedly developed a technical snag just before they were scheduled to take off for Delhi from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Babatpur.
According to sources, the flight (SG 2174) was scheduled to take off at 9.25am on Friday. Passengers boarded the flight in time but the aircraft could not took off due to technical snag. The aircraft was taken away from the runway to rectify the snag. It took more than 3 hours to resolve the problem, and the flight took off at 12.30pm.
A staff of Spice Jet at the airport told TOI that there was a technical issue in the aircraft, which was resolved successfully, and the plane took off for Delhi after a delay of 3.05 hours.
