‘Forged’ complaint: FIR registered

Thiruvananthapuram: The Valiyathura police will probe the ‘forging’ of a complaint alleging sexual harassment by an official of Air India.
K. Dhanapalan, SI , Valiyathura, said an FIR had been registered against a group, including Binoy Jacob, vice-president of Air India SATS Limited, a subsidiary of Air India which deals with ground-handling at international airport here. The case was registered a few days ago on the basis of a complaint filed by L.S. Binu, Officer, Apron, Ground Service Department, Air India. The complaint was lodged on the basis of a Crime Branch report that found him innocent in a case relating to an allegation that he had harassed 17 female employees at the workplace. A probe revealed that the complaint was fabricated by a group of employees.
