Jet Airways shifts domestic operations to Terminal 2 from today

Mumbai: Jet Airways will be relocating its domestic operations to the new integrated Terminal 2 (T2) of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from Tuesday. After Vistara and Air India, Jet Airways is the third airline which will carry out its domestic operations from T2.
The shifting of domestic operations from terminal 1B to T2 is part of the phase-wise relocation plan of the Mumbai International Airport Limited . Under the plan, all domestic carriers would be shifted to integrated Terminal 2 in Sahar, Andheri, from domestic 1B terminal at Santacruz. “Jet Airways’ relocation of domestic operations to T2 will lead to the integration of domestic and international flight operations from a single terminal,” the airline said in a press statement Monday.
Meanwhile, Jet Airways claimed that the move to shift to the the international terminal would improve operational efficiencies, by allowing the airline to transition a greater number of domestic flyers on to its international network.
