A lady passenger has been arrested at the Indira Gandhi International (IGIA) airport in Delhi for allegedly carrying close to three dozen live bullets in her baggage.
Officials said 33 live rounds of .22 calibre gun were recovered from the baggage of the woman identified as DS Gupta during scanning of her baggage on Sunday at terminal 1D of the IGIA by CISF security personnel.
The lady was supposed to have travelled to Dimapur with her husband, they said. "She was asked to produce documents for having the bullets but she could not furnish any valid papers in this regard," a Central Industrial Security Force spokesperson said.
