New Delhi: Actor-turned politician Anupam Kher today was halted at Srinagar airport and was denied entry into National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar by Jammu and Kashmir Police citing law and order problems.
Kher, was scheduled to visit the university to extend his solidarity with the students in wake of the recent events that put the campus into a curfew-like situation.
"He (Kher) was stopped at the airport and not allowed to visit NIT," a police official said. He said Kher was asked to return to Delhi as there were law and order problems.
