Flier caught hiding 2kg gold biscuits in airport toilet

Mumbai Airport Custom's Air Intelligence unit (AIU) on Thursday arrested a Mangalore resident for smuggling close to two kilograms of gold in the form of gold biscuits.

Mohammad Armad, who arrived from Dubai by an Indigo airline flight, was tracked on the basis of passenger profiling by AIU officials -- a system of running a check on the database of all airlines that keep a record of the flying habits of all fliers and point out suspicious trends, which in turn help in nailing smugglers and others.
