AERA to hire consultants for determining aeronautical tariff

New Delhi: Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) is planning to rope in consultants to help determine the aeronautical tariff at major airports.
The airports tariff regulator, which is preparing to decide on the tariff in various aerodromes, is now looking to engage consultants to assist it “in determination of tariffs for aeronautical services at major airports”, according to a public notice.
The aeronautical services have been put into three segments –aeronautical services provided by airport operators; cargo, ground handling and fuel supply services; and air navigation services.
Consultants are being sought to help AERA in deciding the tariffs at various aerodromes, including Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, and Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
AERA would be hiring the services of consultants for “AAI airports at Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow, Guwahati, Kozhikode and enclaves at Goa, Pune and Srinagar, the notice said.
