Air India (AI, Mumbai Int'l) has issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the dry-lease of up to seven A320neos on up to twelve-year contracts.
Tender documents seen by ch-aviation indicate the aircraft must be equipped with CFM International Leap 1A-26 motors with deliveries to be completed by June 30, 2018.
The deadline for submissions is July 5, 2016.
Air India has expanded its narrowbody dry-lease portfolio in recent years. In 2015, it inducted five new A320-200 (sl)s and also signed firm commitments for the deliveries of twenty-two more A320neo jets (also CFM-powered) for delivery between January 2017 and March 2019.
