Indian companies could also take up manufacture of regional civil feeder aircraft to provide connectivity to regional aerodromes and airstrips.
There is a strongly felt need for a new generation of regional transport aircraft, he pointed out. There are lessons to be learnt from countries like Brazil in the development of the aviation industry.
