Check feasibility of airports upgradation:Civil Aviation Ministry

​Visakhapatnam:  Responding to the representation given by Air Travellers’ Association (India) and on the directive of the PMO, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has requested the Airports Authority of India Chairman to examine the feasibility of upgrading the airports in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

It may be noted that the Air Travellers’ Association (India) president D Varada Reddy has been writing letters to the Civil Aviation Ministry stating that instead of going for Greenfield Airport at Bhogapuram better to upgrade facilities at the existing airports. He also submitted a representation to Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on the development of Vizag airport.
