Kozhikode: Foreign currency worth about Rs 1.17 crore was today seized from two Dubai-bound passengers at nearby Karipur International Airport, officials said.
Directorate of Revenue Intelligence sleuths seized currency of United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, worth Rs 64,18,500 concealed inside rice and rice flakes of the baggage of Sajeer (25) of Koduvally, who was about to board a flight for Dubai at 12.25 AM, Intelligence Officer, DRI-Calicut, K Salil said.
