New Delhi: Indira Gandhi International Airport here might see some delays in the next couple of days with its main runway being closed for maintenance.
The runway 28/ 10 of the airport, its workhorse that handles the largest number of flights, is going to be closed from 11 p.m. on June 3 to 4 p.m. on June 6 for routine maintenance, airport sources said.
Although the airport has two other runways – 29/ 11 and 27/ 09 – in case of bad weather, there could be bunching of flights, leading to delays.
