Itanagar: Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) has drawn attention of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Kalikho Pul over construction of the proposed Greenfield Airport at Hollongi, which according to the NGO, is getting delayed not because of the compensation issue but due to undue interventions of some associations/unions/or groups of people with vested interests.
“The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airport Authority of India are not saying anything on the compensation issue. But, they became confused by intervention made by some person(s) or group of people on the matter. Whom do they believe,” ACS stated in a release.
Not only the proposed Greenfield Airport Project but also many developmental activities could not take place in the state because of such undue intervention, the society claimed.
The ACS strongly urged Rijiju and Chief Minister Pul to immediately sort out the differences that has posed as stumbling block to the construction of the vital project.
