Hubballi: The Hubballi Police took into custody around 15 BJP leaders and activists for trying to block the Chief Minister’s convoy outside the Hubballi Airport on Saturday.
The incident occurred during the protest led by President of Hubballi Dharwad Mahanagar Zilla Unit Nagesh Kalburgi and others seeking the resignation of Minister for Bengaluru Development K.J. George following allegation of harassment against him by deceased Dy.SP M.K. Ganapathy.
The BJP members who waited outside the Hubballi Airport started shouting slogans after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah landed in Hubballi and started to proceed to Haveri to participate in a function there.
