Delhi airport’s Klout surpasses global biggies

New Delhi: In a recent survey, Delhi’s IGI Airport has scored higher Klout Score as compared to some of the top airports across the globe like Heathrow and Schiphol.
Klout Score is a social media analysis measuring users’ influence across social media platforms. It measures the size of user’s network, content created and audience interaction with the content. Klout scores range from 1 to 100, with higher scores corresponding to higher influence on the social media platform. Many renowned personalities such the US President, Indian Prime Minister, actors like Amitabh Bachchan, airports and airlines have their social media accounts connected to Klout.
Till a few years ago, the Delhi airport was a small community on social media. But today it has around 4.4 lakh followers on Facebook and more than 30,000 followers on Twitter.
“On Facebook, our fans interact with us on everything, from check-ins, selfies, appreciation on the services we provide, fast process of departure, helpful staff, food and shopping options, compliments on the well-maintained Terminal 3, etc. Twitter has become a handy medium to interact directly with the travellers. Plane spotting, celebrity spotting are some of the common tweets on which people tag Delhi Airport. Often a news article becomes the most tweeted thing. Lost and found queries are also handled on twitter,” said a senior airport official on condition of anonymity.
