London-Mumbai via Ahmedabad Air India flight grounded due to technical snag

Mumbai: A London-Mumbai via Ahmedabad Air India flight was grounded on Wednesday due to technical snag at London’s Heathrow airport. Further details are awaited in the incident.
There has been many such incidents in the past when passengers travelling with the aircraft had to face problems. Earlier this month, a Mumbai-bound Air India flight from London was diverted to Baku in Azerbaijan due to “operational reasons”. A flight was sent from India to bring back the stranded passengers.
In another incident, an Air India flight from Mumbai to Riyadh on Friday collided with an aerobridge, following which the flight was cancelled as a safety measure.
After having to miss an important meeting, Union Minister M Vankaiah Naidu tweeted about the lack of proper services by the state-run carrier. Air India later apologized to the minister and said that the pilot was stuck in a traffic jam.
