Maharashtra trying to operationalise smaller airports: CM

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government is pursuing efforts to operationalise smaller airports in the state, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has said. The state is in the process of formulating an aviation policy along the lines of the national aviation policy announced by the Centre.
Fadnavis was responding to questions raised by MLAs regarding the operationalisation of the Nasik airport in the state assembly. Regarding the Nasik airport in particular, Fadnavis said that the state government was pursuing talks with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and other private airports regarding operationalising the Nasik airport.
