Kochi: The Cochin International Airport on Monday witnessed unruly scenes after the Indigo Airline officials denied permission for Abdul Nasar Maudany to board the flight to Cochin from Bangalore. Following this, the irate PDP workers broke glass panes of Indigo airline office at Cochin Airport, creating tension in the airport.
The PDP workers laid siege to the office of the Indigo from afternoon after Maudany was denied permission by the airline company, despite issuing boarding pass to him. According to reports, the company insisted that the accused in the serial bomb blast case can be taken aboard only if the civil aviation ministry officials accord sanction for it.
Later, the flight that was supposed to take Maudany to Kerala along with other domestic passengers took off without him onboard. The PDP workers who were waiting at the airport here to receive him then went on a rampage, breaking the glass panes of the airline office at the airport.
