Hyderabad: The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Customs department has arrested three migrant workers returning to Telugu states from Dubai at RGI Airport on Tuesday and seized 99.7 tola gold from their possession.During the scanning of checked in baggage belonging to passengers of Dubai - Hyderabad Indigo flight (6E 025) on Tuesday evening, Customs officials found eight gold rods concealed in four power banks and a measuring tape with gold as its core.
Customs officials said that the quantity of the seized gold was 99.7 tola and its market value is about Rs 30 lakh.
All the accused are in their late twenties and out of the three passengers, two are from West Godavari district and the third accused is from Karimnagar.
