New Delhi: Air India and Jet Airways have each been asked to register a First Information Report (FIR) within a week against one of their pilots who tested positive for alcohol during a post flight test conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Air India has also been given a week to register an FIR against a cabin crew member who was also found to be under the influence of liquor in the post flight test.
The DGCA has sent a letter to Ashwani Lohani, Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, and Amit Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, to register the FIR and send a copy to the airline regulator to ensure compliance of the rule.
