Jet Airways flight delayed by 5 hours after pilot forgets passport at home in Bengaluru!

Hyderabad: Passengers of a Hyderabad-Dammam international flight- Flight 94-206- of Jet Airways were in for a rude shock, when they had to wait for over five hours at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, because of the most unlikely reason there ever could be- the pilot forgot his passport at home! However, the Airlines refused to confirm the fact that the flight was indeed delayed because of the pilot’s folly. On Tuesday evening, the passengers of the flight were told that the flight was delayed because they were not getting a slot at the Dammam airport. But the unofficial story was something entirely different.
According to a report by the Deccan Chronicle, the passengers had come to know that the pilot of their flight, who flew into Hyderabad, on a connecting flight from Bengaluru, had forgotten his passport. The report said that sources revealed that the pilot’s passport had to be flown in from Bengaluru and only after that could the flight take off later, during the night. When contacted, Jet Airways staffer at RGIA merely said that the delay was due to ‘operational issues’. They also categorically denied having any information of the fact that pilot had forgotten his passport at home. However, the report said that the passport was flown in by a scheduled Jet Airways flight from Bengaluru to Hyderabad that touched down at RGIA at 9.30 pm.
