New Delhi: A woman was detained at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) on Tuesday morning, along with her 5-year-old son while on her way to Kabul, Afghanistan.
As per sources, she was believed to be leaving India in order to join Islamic State (IS). This is considered as a big lead for the police in terms of the case of 21 Kerala youth missing for the past month.
The 28-year old has been identified as Yasmeen Muhammed, belonging to Patna, Bihar. According to reports, the woman along with her child was to a board a flight to Kabul.
Yasmeen, a divorcee, was handed over to the special cell of Delhi Police and was later taken into custody by Kerala Police. A Kerala court has sent her to judicial custody.
