New Delhi: In a close escape for 78 passengers flying on a SpiceJet flight from Hyderabad to Tirupati on Saturday evening, the aircraft went off the runway after landing. The low cost airline operates its turboprop Q400 on the route.
The aircraft (VT-SUE) operating as SG 1047 went off the runway after landing in Tirupati. "The aircraft rolled past the runway end approximately 100 feet and stopped. All crew and passengers were safely taken to the terminal building and no injuries were reported. Apparently, (there is) no damage to the aircraft," said SpiceJet spokesperson, Ajay Jasra.
