Uber driver attacked at Trivandrum int'l airport

Thiruvananthapuram: The Valiyathura police have registered a case based on a complaint by an Uber taxi driver that he and his passenger were harassed by taxi drivers at Trivandrum Airport's domestic terminal. The complaint was filed by driver Satish.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning.
Trouble started when Satish went inside to pick up the passenger. A group of taxi drivers surrounded his Toyota Etios car. Their demand was that he can only pick the passenger from outside the gates of the airport.
But, he did not agree to it as he did not want to cause any inconvenience to the passenger, who had already boarded the car.
This led to an altercation during which, Satish was manhandled by the other drivers. Some of them even tried to manhandle the passenger, when the latter tried to intervene.
