Chennai: A Chennai-Port Blair flight was delayed by five hours after the pilot detected a technical snag in the aircraft at the Chennai airport on Sunday.
The Air India flight scheduled to depart at 5.05am was getting ready for departure when the pilot noticed a snag and informed engineers. It left at 10.30am with around 100 passengers after the snag was rectified .
An airport official said the flight was delayed and passengers were told to wait at the terminal as the snag was found to be rectifiable.
A Malaysia Airline flight to Kuala Lumpur was also delayed by more than two hours because of operational reasons.
