The Chennai international airport ranked fourth in India in receiving foreign tourists who visited the country on e-tourist visa in September this year.
According to an official statement, a total of 68,809 foreign tourists arrived in September 2016 on e-tourist visa as compared to 31,729 during September last year registering growth of 116.9%.
While the United Kingdom continues to occupy the top slot with 15.5%, it was followed by the US and China. E-tourist visa is available for 150 countries, which is facilitated in 16 international airports across India.
