With threat perception to strategic assets at an all time high, the National Security Guard (NSG) has asked Indian airlines and charter operators to make available every type of aircraft that flies here for carrying out anti-hijack drills.
The elite anti-terrorist force wants to familiarize itself with every type of plane that flies here and be prepared for any eventuality.
"We were asked to make our planes available. Almost every airline has agreed to make their aircraft available at night for some hours to the NSG. Now it is up to them to start the exercises," said a senior airline official.
