Congestions at the Mumbai and New Delhi Airports threw the schedule at Ahmedabad Airport out of gear. Several passengers were kept waiting in the departure wing of the domestic terminal as three flights departing from the airport hot delayed simultaneously. Meanwhile, several delayed incoming flights from Delhi and Mumbai added to the congestion on the runway. The inclement weather in the city also contributed to the delay.
Indigo flight 6E 149 to Bangalore, 6E 626 to Delhi and SpiceJet flight 194 to Delhi from Ahmedabad Airport were delayed. As passengers from three flights checked into the departure area, several people had no option but to sit on the floor and stairs due to unavailability of chairs.
