Pilot saw balloon mid air, sparks terror alert, turns to be navy balloon

Mumbai: Amidst tension between India and Pakistan, a high alert was issued in Mumbai after Air India pilot reported of suspicious balloon flying mid-air near Mumbai airport yesterday. However after all the agencies roped in to investigate the matter it is now found that the balloon was released by the Navy.
After surgical strike on Pakistan, Indian officials believe that Pakistan will retaliate with a terrorist attack. There are high chances that the attack will mainly be air borne--drone, remote controlled light aircraft or balloons. The cops even believe that the attack will be on civilian city like Mumbai or other metro cities.
Various states in India are celebrating the Navratri. In Mumbai there is a tradition that a dedicated colour is kept for every day of Navratri. On the particular day everyone wears the colour which is decided.
Air India pilot on Wednesday afternoon reported a suspicious balloon flying near Mumbai Airport. According to officials, two of the pilots reported about the suspicious balloon flying some 25 kilometers away from Mumbai airport before landing the plane. As soon as the suspicious balloon was visible to the pilots of Air India flight 628 the pilots alerted and reported about it to Air Traffic Control department who had shared the information with local police officials and the Central agencies.
