Aizwal: Screening of suspected Dengue cases at the lone Lengpui Airport near Aizawl was discontinued from today, according to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) state Nodal Officer Dr Pachuau Lalmalsawma.
Lalmalsawma told PTI all the dengue patients have been cured and no fresh cases have been detected for weeks prompting the state government to discontinue the screening.
The screening at the Lengpui Airport was being conducted since August 17 last when two passengers who had arrived from Kolkata had tested positive for dengue.
Six local cases were also detected at the Surveillance Site established at the Aizawl Civil Hospital since August till date.
