DGCA probing SpiceJet Q400 nosewheel trouble

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing low cost carrier SpiceJet nosewheel trouble in its fleet of Bombardier Q400 turboprop.
"In six days there were three instances of one of the two nose wheel tyres deflating after landing. This happened on October 25 and 30 and November 1. This happened twice on one aircraft and the third time on another plane. We are probing this. The airline is also raising this issue with Bombardier," said a senior DGCA official. The airline did not comment on this issue.
Meanwhile, the DGCA has asked Jet Airways to give details of how many flights were affected in recent days due to pilot trouble in the airline. "We have sought information on how many pilots reported late and how many pilots are habitual late reporters," said an official.
