An Air India flight -- AI 191 -- to New York that took off from New Delhi carrying 277 passengers, flew to its destination leaving behind luggage of all the passengers.
The incident happened on December 17. The Air India flight is from New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport to New York's Newark Liberty International Airport with a stop over in Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
A passenger of the flight, Monica, confirmed the news to India Today.
Talking to India Today, she said: "I boarded the flight from New Delhi and I think the luggage was loaded as well. We had a stopover at Mumbai, and that's where the luggage was left behind."
She also said that the airlines informed the passengers that they will take at least four to five days to bring the luggage to New York.
