Airline operators to meet CISF top brass tomorrow

Top airline operators, both domestic and international, will have a high-level meeting with CISF tomorrow to discuss issues related to public security and convenience at major civil airports in the country.
As many as 16 airline operators have been invited for the meeting with senior commanders of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the force mandated for securing 59 airports in the country.
The conference will be chaired by CISF DG O P Singh.
Officials said Singh initiated the meeting so that the two most important stakeholders in airport operations and security can better streamline their efforts in ensuring a hassle-free and secure travel for lakhs of people using these sensitive facilities daily to travel within and outside the country.
They said CISF will brief the participants about the security drill and protocol employed by the force in the wake of recent incidents, which have highlighted the importance of airport security at an all-time high.
