Bag with 23 passports goes missing from IGI

New Delhi: A bag containing 23 passports and some valuables, belonging to a film production unit, went missing from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Wednesday.
The complainant, who arrived from Mumbai at terminal 1D of the airport at 10pm, was waiting near the conveyor belt for his luggage when he discovered that it was missing.
He then reported the matter to the airlines. The complainant told police that a similar — unclaimed — bag was found on the conveyor belt by the airline staff.
Police are trying to identify the accused through CCTV footage.
"It was a black bag with red stripes. According to the complainant the bag contained 23 passports of his production team members. A complaint has been registered at the domestic airport police station and the incident is being probed," said a senior police officer.
