As many as seven pairs of flights to Vizag from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai were delayed due to inclement weather conditions prevailing at Bengaluru International Airport on Friday. According to airport sources, fog conditions had delayed take-off from Bengaluru due to which consequential flights towards Vizag were also delayed.
Three flights from Bengaluru to Vizag suffered delays of more than three hours including two AirAsia and one IndiGo flight.
While the Bengaluru-Vizag Indigo (6E 288) was scheduled to arrive at 7.25 am, it arrived in the city at around 11 am with a delay of 3 hours and 20 minutes. On its return journey, as against the scheduled departure of 7.55 am, it left Vizag at around 11.40 am.
