Local MLA Jalagam Venkata Rao expressed his happiness over the collaboration of Telangana with the regional aviation scheme for the establishment of airports in major cities by Ministry of Civil Aviation, here on Wednesday.
The legislator congratulated Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, who played a pivotal role in signing a memorandum of understanding with the Civil Aviation ministry and Airports Authority of India.
He opined that it was going to help the newly-formed Telangana to a great extent and reminded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wrote a letter to the Central government for the establishment of an airport here at Kottagudem.
“With the thorough support of KCR, KTR and other officials of the State and Central government, the works for the establishment of airport are going to commence soon,” he said.
