The business of corporate jets is picking up in Chennai hinting that the growth may be exponential if a separate facility is offered for smaller aircraft used by high net worth individuals. Smaller planes like Cessna Citation and others often used as corporate jets get caught in the busy traffic at Chennai airport.
The sector is changing which means regional airports can play a role in promoting business travel. CEO and cofounder of JetSetGo Kanika Tekriwal said, "There is a fall in private jet ownership and a drastic rise in private jet utilisation. Customers have realised the hassles and escalated costs of owning aircraft and hence prefer to outsource their requirements."
