Rated third worst Airline carrier, Air India gets appreciation from Nobel laureate Amartya Sen

For long India's sarkari airline Air India has been struggling hard to regain its lost glory faced with stiff competition from a host of private carriers. In fact, the new year has not been particularly good for the Maharaja with an international flight survey firm rating it the "third worst airline carrier" in the world.
However, there is good news for the beleaguered airline with Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen giving a thumbs-up to the carrier for its service. Sen, who was travelling to London's Heathrow airport from New Delhi this week on Air India flight AI-111 did not forget to let the airline management know of his appreciation for its onboard service. Known for his candid views, the octogenarian left a much needed message for the airline staff before departing.
