Bengaluru: The alternative road to Kempegowda International Airport from Begur, which is currently a kaccha road, will be fully ready in the next three months.
PWD principal secretary Lakshminarayana M said the government has already acquired private properties along the 1.5-km, 6-lane stretch at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
This 1.5-km mud road from Begur near Mylanahalli cross to the airport road is the gateway to the airport from Bengaluru east. It was thrown open to the public ahead of air show a fortnight ago.
“As soon as the mud settles down, the work on asphalting will begin,“ Lakshminarayana said.
