A 43-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly watching porn on a Kolkata-Mumbai flight. The airport police took the man on Saturday away after an air hostess and her supervisor complained about him, Hindustan Times reported on Wednesday.
The air hostess said she caught the man watching porn on his phone with the screen deliberately turned towards her. She said he asked her to get him water, which is when she first noticed the clip playing on his phone. He later asked her again to bring hot water, and the clip, she said she noticed, was still on, with the device turned towards her. The crew member alerted her woman supervisor, who also saw the man watching porn when she went up to him.
The crew members informed their Delhi office and alerted the internal security team about the incident. He was later arrested by the airport police when the flight landed in Mumbai. He has been charged with tampering with evidence because he deleted all the videos on his phone before his arrest. The device has been handed over to forensic experts to retrieve the deleted data.
