Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad beats Air India official with slipper over seating issue, remains defiant

In yet another instance of politicians abusing power, a Shiv Sena MP has thrashed an Air India official with his slipper over seating issues.
According to an Air India spokesperson, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad hit an Air India staffer with his slipper over the issue of seat of his choice.
Gaikwad has confessed to having hit the AI employee, alleging the latter misbehaved with him.
"I wanted a business class seat which he couldn't arrange for me. I hit him several times with my slipper", Gaikwad said.
Continuing to be unapologetic, the Shiv Sena MP added, "I was about to throw him down the flight, I won't leave him till he apologises."
This is not the first time Shiv Sena leaders have resorted to goondaism in dealing with commoners.
Meanwhile, a senior airline official said, "Air India will file an FIR against Gaikwad in an hour's time at a police station near T2 Terminal of Delhi airport. We have filed an internal committee to inquire into the incident."
The official added, "The committee's report is almost ready and is going to be tabled to the Aviation Ministry in the next few hours. Gaikwad beat a senior Air India official (almost 60) on his chest, tore his shirt and then hit him 10-15 times with a slipper.
